Pix from Basel

Here are Debbie and the Nissens and Catherine's brother Laurent having lunch in Kiffis, just over the Swiss border in France, where the Nissens own a farmhouse with an extra guesthouse in what amounts to an apple orchard. This was where I started writing the India novel about three years ago; maybe now I can actually finish it. Catherine's neck continues to give her hell, which has necessitated our canceling the Loire trip and staying in Basel at least for the next several days, with perhaps an expedition southward to meet up with the Rozzos before we proceed to Thailand. Today (monday) Debbie and I wandered around Basel, enjoying the sights along the Rhine.

ASW

DLHW

I asked Jake to help me set up a blog so that Debbie and I can send reports to our countless legions of close friends and family without ever having to write anyone individually, let alone personally. So here I am, and, presumably you are as well, on the eve of the eve of our departure for Zurich, the Loire, and Thailand.
